Part 1 – Writing an Essay (220–260 words)
Task

environment in your town.
During the event, several speakers expressed different

council summarising the main points discussed and evaluating which measures
would be most effective.
Your Report Should:
- Summarise
the main ideas presented at the conference
- Include
the following opinions expressed by the speakers:
- alternative energy sources→ One speaker argued that investing in alternative energy sources is the most effective solution, as it tackles environmental problems at their source.
- buying local produce→ Another participant suggested that, while beneficial, buying local produce has a relatively limited impact compared to larger-scale environmental measures.
- recycling→ A further speaker claimed that although recycling is important, it is less effective because it does not reduce the amount of waste produced initially.
