A1 Writing Exercise: Describing Clothes and Colours

Exercise Guidelines

1. Look carefully at the picture.
2. Identify the clothes each singer wears.
3. Identify the colours of the clothes.
4. Write a short article describing the clothes and colours.
5. Organise your text into three parts: introduction (say the band name and where they are from), body (members' outfit), and conclusion (an opinion about their clothes).
6. Use the structure She wears + colour + clothing item.

Remember:

• Focus on clothes and colours.
• Use simple sentences.
• Start sentences with a capital letter.
• End sentences with a period (.).
• Write 60–80 words.
