Task Instructions: You have had a class discussion about environmental problems and solutions. 

Your teacher has asked you to write an essay on the following topic:

"What are the most effective ways to protect the environment?"

Write an essay discussing the following ideas and include your own idea:

• reducing waste and recycling
• using renewable energy

You should explain which idea is more important and give reasons for your opinion.

Write your essay in 140–190 words.
